Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains what information StreamStretch (streamstretch.com) collects, how it's used, and the third-party services involved in running the site. StreamStretch is built to require as little personal data as possible — there's no account system and no login.

Information the tool itself collects

StreamStretch's core tool — picking shows, movies, and teams to find your cheapest lineup — runs entirely in your browser. The shows and providers you select are used locally to calculate results and are not transmitted to us or stored on our servers. We don't require or request an account, email address, or payment information to use the finder tool.

Standard web logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information for security and reliability purposes — things like IP address, browser type, and pages requested. This is typical infrastructure-level logging, not something we actively collect or analyze for tracking individual visitors.

Cookies and advertising

StreamStretch may display advertising served by third-party ad networks, including Google. These networks may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. If you'd like to opt out of personalized advertising, Google provides controls at adssettings.google.com, and the Digital Advertising Alliance offers a broader opt-out at optout.aboutads.info. This policy will be updated with the specific ad network(s) in use if and when advertising is enabled on the site.

Third-party data sources

Show and movie availability information is provided via TMDB's API under a commercial license. Using the finder tool causes your browser to fetch catalog data from TMDB's servers; TMDB's own privacy practices govern that request. StreamStretch does not send your specific show selections to TMDB — catalog data is fetched generally, not per-search.

Analytics

If StreamStretch adds analytics tools in the future (for example, to understand aggregate traffic patterns), this policy will be updated to name the specific tool and what it collects before that change takes effect.

Children's privacy

StreamStretch is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially — for example, when advertising or analytics is enabled — the "last updated" date above will change and, where practical, we'll note what changed.
